Grand Canyon
So the Grand Canyon is amazing, just such an awesome spectacle that I suspect you really do need to see it to believe it. Tons of photos, none of which I have here but they’ll show up soon. We also enjoyed an overnight low of 27 degrees - farenheit. Yes kids, that is sub zero. Did I mention we’re on a camping trip? Let’s just say that my sleeping bag doesn’t quite cut it in these conditions. It’s amazing that sleeping in thermals and progressingly putting on more and more clothes during the night still didn’t keep me warm. I survived though, much to the disappointment of the coyotes howling through the night I’m sure. So we’ve been on the trip for a week now, halfway through our group travels and it’s going really well. What started off slowly is starting to speed past now. We drove up route 66 to get here yesterday after camping on the Colorado river near Lake Havasu. Great site, terrible companions keeping us up all night. We have a helicopter flight over the canyon today, quite looking forward to that! Off for a hike along the rim now so best be off, I think I’ve defrosted enough to face the outside world again. Ciao
