On the road
That was me riding the cable car to meet Cass in San Francisco. Said goodbye to Lana, her wonderful apartment, advice & cooking (thanks AirBnB.com) rented a car & drove to Yosemite & back, which was amazing. Remarkable scenery which my phone camera doesn’t do justice. We’ve started our group trip now, yesterday we drove from SF to Santa Cruz, where we checked out the beach & boardwalk before pitching tents & spending our first night camping. Unseasonally hot here right now & we got a taste of Californian traffic as everyone wanted to hit the beach at once. Stopped at Monterey this morning & now driving down the coast through Big Sur for some scenic views & onto Santa Barbara for more camping. Packing heaps into the days so far, no time to rest at all. At least until we hit San Diego where we’ve got two nights to settle in slightly. But before then is a night in Los Angeles. Crazy. Ciao for now.
